I am a girl whose best friends are not diamonds but travel vouchers to some place exotic. Or ordinary. As long as it’s a place I haven’t been to before. Passionate about writing, travel, food, books and the freedom struggle of women in India! Yes, I do believe we have a long way to go when it comes to how ‘Free’ we are, as second class citizens of this nation.
The blog was born way back in 2007 and I have come a long long way since the times when people used to think a thousand times before revealing their real identities on the internet. I am from the era when bloggers were just a bunch of very interesting pen-names! So, yes, the journey has been long and interesting! It continues to evolve, and I follow the path, taking a while to enjoy the views, digging my feet deep in sand, flying high on a mountain top, or just lazing around at home and thinking about how to change the world when it comes to gender discrimination.
Along the way, I have been fortunate enough to make a lot of friends who have become a part of my life. The awards, the features and the opportunities may come and go, but I know I have friends for keeps from the blogging world that’s turning more and more competitive with each post. Those are my real take-aways but since we are at it, I’ve been fortunate enough to work with many brands who come to recognize the power of blogs.
