Lights, Camera, Fashion!

It is not everyday that I get to brag. But today is not everyday, so let me tell you a little something I did, last week.

Jabong launched an on-line fashion revolution in May 2014 and since then an array of events were organised by Jabong and Talenthouse India. Last week, the phenomenon came to its climax with Jabong India On-line Fashion Week, held at Le Meridian, New Delhi and I got to see it live!

It was really an affair to remember, with budding designers getting a chance to showcase their ensembles. While I can not pick which one I liked best, I can simply say they were all good and knew their craft really well. The concept was a really innovative one, giving fresh talent a chance, whether it was designers or models, makeup-artists or hair-dressers, camera-men or us bloggers getting to over the event.

Aditya Roy Kapoor and Yami Gautam rocked the ramp for Nitin Bal Cauhan and Rajdeep Ranawat were both a delight to watch. The stylish yet wearable collection presented at Jabong Fashion Week is available at the website to shop, making this India’s first shoppable Fashion Week.

The post is incomplete without vision that Mr. Praveen Sinha, Founder and MD of Jabong had for this unique initiative. In his own words –  “When we came up with the idea of Jabong On-line Fashion Week, the only thought process was to bring upon a radical change in the on-line fashion industry. Our sole motive was to polish the gigantic amount of talent our country has and present it to the world to see. I am elated by the unprecedented response this initiative has received in its first season itself. Through this, we hope to change the dynamics around which the fashion industry functions and make it adept to the new-age eccentric talent that we have pooled. These young artists are now ready to take the fashion industry by storm”.
