Well past midnight and not a trace
of sleep, or was I already asleep?
Somehow somethings I can’t place
I might just let the morning creep. Marital Rape
In between breaths and senses

His horrid sounds keep coming back
He just couldn’t mind the fences
of consent, love and that of respect.
A stream of red arises somewhere
One more night to which I succumb
I let it pass with my body bare
My heart stopped bleeding, it’s numb.
I count the rhythms silently
Losing the number now and then
He forces himself on me, violently
And I wait until he’s done.
I switched on the light
To melt the devils away
And mask a brave face each night
Only to let him get away.
In India, marriages really are sacred
But married women aren’t even human
It’s completely a man’s world, I dread
Very well suited to our cultural acumen.
A rape isn’t really a rape, If you have a rapist husband
It’s a justified escape, entitled by the law of the land.

Who told you marital rape is not a crime in INDIA? Please have a clarity of thought before writing about laws..also if your husband is raping you why don't you divorce? It is easy for women to get divorce anyways. All they need is to falsely filed some cases or cry in court. Do you realize that when Indian couples are not even having regular Sex marital rape iss only a hoax created by media. If you blv them let me tell you two things..1. UN says ~50% housewives don't understand being raped..2. 75% Indian housewives are raped. So you understand UN is actually trying to portray all married Indian men as rapists. That includes men in your family as well. Don't blv all the hype created around you..one day you will not be able to live.
Before shouting out loud on someone else's page, at least have the decency to verify your own facts. Marital Rape is not a crime and not punishable under any law in this nation. And btw, you don't seem to get that this post is not about me but about thousands of women who are struck in offensive marriages. Just posting these things to criminalise Men??? It is good to save marriages and Indian culture than thinking of shouting on Men and taking advantage of Women Empowerment. Rule should be a rule for everyone.
Well, a rapist should be a criminal and behind bars. I am sure all men are not rapists and I am in no way generalising. In fact you are doing what you are accusing me of – Generalising all men of being insensitive and forcing themselves on women.
And, saving marriages and culture so that a few men can be saved from law inspite of being vultures is exactly what I am against. Women Empowerment is not hating men, it is the right to equality that we demand. Clearly, we are not equals but second class citizens of this so called great country.
One thing here, Marital Rape is already considered a Crime in India. It is how you prove it. And always one can get out of such relationship if it is injurious, why to continue???
It is not a rape if he is your husband. It can be domestic violence, but in India, it is still not rape.
When Sex is being redefined as Marital Rape or a cause to criminalise a thought, then how is marriage redefined? This would be another Law to push down men in the society who are already being treated with false accusations, any woman can point her husband with this and a misuse can happen just like other laws. It is not the law which always brings empowerment, it is the right education for both genders!!!
I agree that education is the building block of all things empowerment but still I cannot deny the fact that many a women in India are struck in abusive marriages where sex is foced upon them. Just because a law could be mis-used is no reaosn to not have a law in place. Instead, make it as much food proof as possible so that mis-use can be erradicated.
And the woman decides what is rape? Based on her whims.. Any broken relation will be rape and men will lose their job while continuing to pay alimony. Whole woman who rape men still be known as victims of rape as men can't even raise complaints and women vultures cry rape and go away unaccused and unpunished women are never happy how much they get. So much they hate men that when the feminists are showing stats to portray their own sons and fathers as rapists, they are still spitting venom on men. They only get to see reality when their family members are sent to jail because of whims of some other woman, only then they will realize what they have done..
I guess you can't understand the difference between domestic violence and Rape. Also, I will block or delete who so ever I feel like, this is my page and I am the queen here! SO go, create as many fake ids as you want!

I look at this post as an expression of the emotion that a wife undergoes during an uninclined sex. Men reading this post who involve in such ac act without realizing this feeling of a wife might get a chance to learn and think about it. So the primary intention of this post is, “Please Listen”. And there is so much commotion for asking you to listen?!
